John T. Lucas is Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. In his role, he is responsible for development and implementation of the global human capital strategy for the company.
Lucas has more than 30 years of human resources leadership experience and achievement in the manufacturing, consumer products and technology industries. Prior to joining Goodyear in 2015, Lucas was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Communications for Lockheed Martin Corporation, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company.
Before joining Lockheed, Lucas held the position of General Manager, Human Resources for Microsoft's Business Division, home to the Office suite of products and the largest and most profitable of the company's five operating segments.
During his career, Lucas has held positions of increasing responsibility in executive human resources with Eastman Kodak Company, ConAgra Foods and Merck & Company.
A native of Pittsburgh, Lucas is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where he received a bachelor's degree in economics. He earned his master's degree in labor and industrial relations from St. Francis University. Lucas is a member of the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) Academy and HR 50. Under his leadership, Lucas’ HR teams have routinely been recognized by Fortune magazine as among the “Most Admired for HR.”
Lucas and his wife, Eileen, have two daughters.
