Paul Fitzhenry is Senior Vice President, Global Communications for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
He joined Goodyear in 2012 with more than 25 years’ experience in key communications roles in leading global companies.
As chief communications officer, Fitzhenry leads all aspects of Goodyear’s global communications including public and media relations, employee communications, corporate brand and reputation, crisis and issues management and philanthropy and community relations. He also oversees the operations of Goodyear’s fleet of world famous airships.
Fitzhenry joined Goodyear from Tyco International, where he was Vice President of Corporate Communications from 2007 to 2012.
Before joining Tyco, he spent nearly two decades in the global pharmaceutical industry in a series of communications leadership roles based in the U.S., Canada and Europe with Pfizer Inc., Pharmacia Corporation and The Upjohn Company.
He began his career in newspaper journalism in Canada and later served as a consultant and editor for a Toronto-based public and government affairs consulting firm.
A native of Brampton, Ontario, Fitzhenry was born on June 29, 1959. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Western Ontario and a master’s degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
He serves as a National Trustee with Boys and Girls Club of America.
He and his wife Anne have two sons.
