Rick Noechel is Senior Vice President, Business Transformation for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Appointed to this role effective June 1, 2016, Noechel leads the company’s efforts to simplify processes, speed decision making and drive efficiency throughout the business.

Noechel joined Goodyear in 2004 as Vice President, Assistant Controller and has served in a number of key finance roles of increasingly responsibility at the corporate, region and country levels. He served as Chief Financial Officer of the company’s South Pacific Tyre subsidiary during a period of significant restructuring from 2006 to 2008 and as Vice President, Finance for Goodyear’s North America tire business – the company’s largest segment from 2008-2011. From 2011 to 2016, he was the company’s chief accounting officer as Vice President and Controller, responsible for its global controllership activities.

Prior to joining Goodyear Noechel was Vice President and Corporate Controller of Kmart Corporation from 2001 to 2004, leading accounting, reporting and internal control activities. He also served as part of the leadership team that successfully executed Kmart’s financial restructuring.

He began his career in public accounting with Price Waterhouse in 1991 rising to audit manager before joining DaimlerChrysler Corporation where he held senior management roles in Accounting and Finance from 1997 to 2001, including leading accounting and reporting for Chrysler’s international business.

Noechel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International and serves as a member of its Committee on Corporate Reporting. He serves as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Summit County. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1991.
