Peter S. Hellman, retired president of Nordson Corporation, was elected to the Board of Directors of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on October 5, 2010.
Hellman retired from Nordson Corporation, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of industrial equipment, in 2008 after a career of more than 20 years with large, multinational companies in both financial and operating executive positions. He was President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of Nordson Corporation from 2004 to January 2008 and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer from 2000 to 2004. Prior to joining Nordson in 2000, Hellman was with TRW Inc. for 10 years and held various positions, including President and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Hellman also serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations as well as Baxter International Inc. (since 2005) and Owens-Illinois, Inc. (since 2007).
