Goodyear Ultra-High Performance Tire Continues Eagle Tradition of Excellence

AKRON, Ohio, Jan. 28, 2016 – For more than 30 years, Goodyear Eagle tires have delivered superior performance for drivers.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is continuing to deliver on the Eagle’s strong legacy of premium performance with the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3.

Unveiled during this week’s Goodyear Dealer Conference, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is a premium, ultra-high performance summer tire that helps deliver commanding traction and precise handling in both wet and dry conditions.

“With an impressive OE fitment on the Motor Trend Car of the Year, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 offers powerful, ultra-high performance handling for exceptional driving confidence,” said Jay Robinson, general manager, brand marketing, Goodyear.

Features that enable the tire’s superior performance include:

  • An asymmetric tread pattern for powerful traction in turns, as well as enhanced traction on wet surfaces
  • A grip-boosting tread compound for increased road adhesion and superior traction
  • Advanced construction tuned for ultra-high performance suspension systems
  • A solid center rib to help provide quick response and an accurate, on-center feel

Goodyear is currently offering the tire in six sizes, and will continue to expand the size range throughout 2016 to offer 19 sizes, from 205/40R17 up through 285/35R22.

“High performance enthusiasts have chosen Goodyear Eagle tires for more than three decades,” said Robinson. “The new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 represents Goodyear’s continued commitment to this important set of customers.”
