Learning Kit Recalibration

As a part of Goodyear’s inaugural Week of Volunteering, Goodyear associates helped Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio reuse materials from previously used learning kits, saving them nearly $10,000 in supplies and 164 hours of associate time to prepare kits for the upcoming year. Additionally, Goodyear associates will use these learning kits during the school year facilitating education programs with local students.

Let’s do it, Romania

Goodyear associates in Bucharest, Romania, collected more than 90 bags of trash in one day as part of “Let’s do it, Romania,” a litter clean-up initiative that started in 2010. Associate volunteers plan to exceed their 2016 number in 2017 as they come together to address a major environmental issue.

Harvest for Hunger

For the second year in a row, Goodyear was recognized as a Diamond Level Contributor for its contributions to the 2017 Harvest for Hunger Campaign in Akron. During the campaign, the financial contribution and hours associates and retirees volunteered helped the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank provide 200,000 meals to those in need in our community.
