Don Metzelaar is Senior Vice President, Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. In this role, Metzelaar is responsible for the performance and integration of the company’s operations including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Environmental, Health and Safety and Operations Quality.

Metzelaar has more than 30 years of supply chain and operations experience, with a strong history of driving transformation and delivering high-impact improvements to plant efficiency and working capital, while continuing to enhance quality and delivery.

Prior to joining Goodyear, Metzelaar was the global vice president and Chief Manufacturing Officer for Johnson Controls International. He led operations and quality in a complex manufacturing environment, and was instrumental in enhancing operational stability and efficiency, customer satisfaction and financial performance.

Metzelaar has also led operations and transformed manufacturing, supply chain and logistics programs across multiple industries at companies including Whirlpool Corporation, Honeywell International and Motorola.

Metzelaar received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and continued executive studies in Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership at Stanford University. In 2024, Metzelaar was named one of the Top 10 Chief Manufacturing Officers by Manufacturing Digital.
