Dave Phillips is Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, a position he has held since 2019. Phillips is responsible for managing the company’s legal, compliance and ethics, corporate governance, sustainability and public and government affairs functions worldwide.

Phillips joined Goodyear in 2011 as senior legal counsel, Real Estate and Finance, representing the company’s treasury, business development and real estate functions. He later advanced to Associate General Counsel, Americas, where he led the Americas law department on all matters relating to the operations of the company in North, Central and South America.

Prior to joining Goodyear, Phillips was an attorney in the Jones Day Banking & Finance group in Cleveland, Ohio.

Phillips received his bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College, and his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from Cleveland State University.
